Muhurtham Clock

Muhurtham Clock turns the Kerala panchangam into a clock you can glance at. One turn of the dial is one day, from sunrise to the next sunrise. The marked arcs show you at once where Rahu kalam, Gulika kalam and Yamagandam fall today, where Abhijit muhurtham and Brahma muhurtham sit, and which of the 24 horas is running now. A small sun travels the ring by day and a crescent moon by night. What you get • Live clock with the current hora, the next kalam and how long until it starts or ends • Sunrise and sunset for your town, with the day and night arcs drawn from them • Today's Malayalam month and date (Kollavarsham), nakshatram, tithi and paksha, yogam and karanam • Graha positions (rashi and nakshatram) for the moment shown • A slider to move through the day and a date picker to look at any other day • A muhurtham finder for common occasions (wedding, choroonu, naming, vidyarambham, grihapravesham, travel, business) over the next one to three months, with the reason for each window • Live wallpaper: the dial on your home and lock screen, with the window you are in written under it • Malayalam and English, switchable with one tap • Works offline for the day you last loaded How it is computed Every time on this clock comes from astronomical calculation (JPL ephemeris, Lahiri ayanamsa, true sunrise and sunset for your town) following Kerala conventions: the day runs sunrise to sunrise, horas and kalams divide the daylight and night into eight parts as in the classical panchangam. Nothing is guessed or generated; where a rule's source is still under review it is marked as such in the app. No account, no sign-in and no ads. The town you pick is sent to our server only to compute the panchangam for that place and is not stored. Made in Kozhikode by Calecute Technologies.
