Burn Index is a local-first fasting tracker designed to make your progress easy to understand without requiring an account. Follow your fast with a precise live timer, configurable fasting goals, approximate metabolic stages, and private energy-use estimates calculated directly on your device. FASTING TOOLS • Start a new fast or enter one already in progress • Set the start date and time or manually enter elapsed hours and minutes • Change your fasting goal while a fast is active • View approximate fasting stages with estimated hour ranges • Receive optional stage and fasting-goal notifications • Review completed fasts and fasting history • Edit the starting time of an active fast THE BURN INDEX METER The Burn Index meter estimates energy used during your fast based on your locally stored profile and elapsed fasting time. Its full-scale marker represents a configurable weight-energy equivalent. The default is the conventional energy equivalent of 1 lb, approximately 3,500 kcal. This does not mean that the app has measured 1 lb of body fat loss or a 1 lb change in body weight. The meter does not measure metabolism, fat burned, glucose, insulin, glycogen, ketones, or any other biomarker. Burn Index does not require an account or send this profile and fasting information to a Chipboard server or to Google Mobile Ads. Burn Index contains one dismissible banner advertisement. Google Mobile Ads may process limited device, interaction, diagnostic, identifier, and approximate-location information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention.
