Full description
BubblGuard is the Android companion to BubblHub — a family safety platform that helps parents support their child's online life without disrupting their independence. A free BubblHub parent account is required (sign up at bubblhub.com). Family plans are managed from the parent dashboard. ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE BubblGuard is a parental-control and child online-safety app. With a parent or guardian's permission, BubblGuard uses Android's AccessibilityService API on the child's device to provide its core safety features. Accessibility access allows BubblGuard to access and process supported on-screen web and in-app activity. This may include: • web and search activity — web addresses (URLs), page titles and search terms • text entered or displayed in supported apps, including AI chatbot prompts and the replies shown on screen • other in-app messages, including message and webmail content displayed on screen • email addresses when they appear within webmail or other supported content • attempts to visit websites the parent has blocked This information is used to identify potential online-safety risks, apply the family's safety settings, and provide relevant safety alerts and insights to the linked parent or guardian through BubblHub. The text is matched server-side against the safety keywords the parent set; only matches and their surrounding context are surfaced. Parents do not see raw browsing history. Accessibility access is used only for BubblGuard's parental-control and child-safety features. It is never sold, never used for advertising, never used to train AI models, and is not used for remote call audio recording. BubblGuard does not change device settings without permission, does not block uninstall, does not work around Android privacy controls or notifications, and does not alter the user interface. WHAT BUBBLGUARD DOES NOT ACCESS • Email account credentials, passwords or login screens. • The contact list or address book. • SMS messages, call logs or phone-call audio. • Banking or payment pages. • Names of the apps used on the device. • Photos, videos, contacts, calendar, microphone, camera or location. • Keystrokes outside the surfaces listed above. PROMINENT DISCLOSURE AND CONSENT Before the Accessibility Service can be enabled, BubblGuard shows an in-app Accessibility access disclosure screen that lists every data type above — including other in-app messages and email addresses — and the purpose of each. The parent must tap "Continue" to consent; an equally prominent "Not now" button is offered and the system back gesture is disabled so it cannot be mistaken for consent. Android's Accessibility settings are only opened after Continue, and no data is accessed until the service is enabled. Some BubblHub features (e.g. Gmail safety scanning) run on the web with the parent's explicit OAuth permission and are separate from this app. They are documented in the BubblHub Privacy Policy. HOW IT WORKS 1. Parent creates a BubblHub account at bubblhub.com and adds a child. 2. Parent generates a 6-digit pairing code in Guard → Devices → Android. 3. Install BubblGuard on the child's device, enter the code, review the Prominent Disclosure, then grant the Accessibility and battery permissions BubblGuard asks for. 4. Review insights any time from the parent dashboard. ACCOUNT DELETION Account deletion is available from the parent dashboard at bubblhub.com (Controls → Account → Delete my account). Full Privacy Policy: https://bubblhub.com/privacy Support: https://bubblhub.com/support BubblGuard is operated by OT Guru Limited, United Kingdom.
