Full description
Far Far Land turns you into a traffic engineer 👷 working on one stubborn four-way junction. Cars stream in from every approach, and even when nothing is technically wrong ❌, a phantom jam can grow out of nowhere: a stop-and-go wave that rolls backward through a line of cars for no visible reason ❓. Your job is to make it stop. You have two tools 🛠️. The signal plan 🗺️ lets you reorder, resize, and retime the light phases running the junction, watching a live phase wheel sweep through green, amber, and stop. The lane rules panel lets you set what each of the eight lanes allows, how fast ⚡ traffic may move through it, how cautious drivers are, and how much traffic feeds into it. Change either one, then run the simulation and watch 👀 cars move cell by cell across a live blueprint-style junction canvas. Every run in Far Far Land is measured, not guessed. A fundamental diagram 📊 plots flow against density, a scrub-able timeline 🕒 tracks throughput and average 📐 speed ⚡ over the whole run, and per-arm queue meters show exactly where cars are backing up. Run results are graded and kept in a searchable log, so you can tell whether your latest signal plan actually helped or just moved the jam somewhere else. Eight built-in scenarios, from a calm free-flow baseline to a four-way saturation stress test, give you real problems to solve, and a short primer explains the underlying physics if you want to understand why the jams form at all. FEATURES - Live cellular-automaton junction simulation with adjustable run speed ⚡ - Drag ✋-reorderable signal phase editor with a live phase wheel - Eight independently tunable lanes: speed ⚡ cap, movement rules, inflow, driver caution - Fundamental diagram 📊, scrub-able throughput timeline 🕒, and per-arm queue meters - Graded, searchable run log 📝 so you can compare ⚖️ plans over time ⏱️ - Eight built-in scenarios plus a short primer on traffic-flow physics - Attach a photo 📸 to any completed run as field evidence for your notes 📝 SCREENS Main Menu, Simulation, Signal Plan 🗺️, Lane Rules, Scenarios, Telemetry, Primer, Settings CAMERA & GALLERY 📷 After finishing a run, you can attach a photo 📸 — snapped on the spot or picked from your gallery 🖼️ — as field evidence alongside that run's saved result, so a real reference image travels with the data in your log 📝.
