BTCBacked: Bitcoin Lending

Never sell your Bitcoin. Borrow against it. Or lend stablecoins and earn interest secured by Bitcoin collateral. BTCBacked is a Swiss marketplace for non-custodial Bitcoin-backed loans. Collateral is held in a 2-of-3 multisig escrow where you, your counterparty, and BTCBacked each hold one key. Moving funds takes two signatures, so no single party, including BTCBacked, can move them alone. Collateral is never reused, lent out, or rehypothecated. BORROW WITHOUT SELLING - Lock Bitcoin as collateral and receive a stablecoin loan in USDT or USDC - Create a request with your preferred terms or accept an existing lender offer - Repay and your collateral is released back to you LEND AND EARN INTEREST - Post an offer with your preferred rate, duration, and LTV, or accept a borrower request - Every loan is secured by Bitcoin collateral you can verify on-chain - Lenders pay no platform fees and keep 100% of the interest earned CLEAR PRICING Interest rates are agreed between borrower and lender, not set by the platform. The borrower pays a platform fee of 1.5% of the loan principal per year of term, so the all-in APR is the agreed interest rate plus 1.5 percentage points. Loan terms run from 3 to 48 months and loans start at $1,000. A 5% liquidation fee applies only if a loan is liquidated. Representative example: for a $10,000 loan over 12 months at a 10% annual interest rate, the borrower pays $1,000 interest plus a $150 platform fee. Total cost of the loan: $1,150. Total repaid: $11,150. All-in APR: 11.5%. RISK MANAGEMENT BUILT IN Collateral value and LTV are monitored in real time. Borrowers get margin call warnings at 75%, 80%, and 85% LTV, with time to add collateral or repay. Liquidation happens only at 90% LTV or on default.
