Sound settings are a console: a signal flow diagram and meters at the head, seven tabs below, Simple or Pro, recommended defaults one tap away. 2. Eleven DSP stages, written by us: De-clip → MA Tone → Tube → Vinyl → Tape → 10-band EQ → Space Reverb → Crossfeed → Voice boost → Studio Clear → Limiter. 3. The EQ follows the RBJ Audio EQ Cookbook, five bands or ten; PEQ-10 sets each band's gain. Volume leveling follows ITU-R BS.1770-4, with album mode. Upscaling adds harmonics above the lossy-codec cutoff, derived from the signal itself. 4. Space comes from Schroeder-Moorer reverb, virtual surround 360° and crossfeed, with eight space presets from studio to cathedral at real reverberation times. 5. The Output analyzer rates source against processed audio for headroom, clipping, dynamics, tone and stereo width; the Sound effects on switch returns the original. Output path shows both formats and, on Bluetooth, the codec in use and the highest your device supports, with recommended settings applied in one tap. 6. For the expert: true peak (dBTP), gain reduction, stereo width and latency on the console, a -0.3 dBTP limiter ceiling (-1.0 on Bluetooth), automatic headroom, TPDF dither and per-track sound settings. ■ 100 spectrum meters LED matrix, Retro VU and more: tap Spectrum in the player, then hold and drag to pick. GPU shaders (Android 13+) draw real physics: starlight bent by a black hole, an eclipse corona, Chladni sand figures, Cherenkov light, soap-film colors. Scenes lock to kicks and snares, swell on a build-up and burst on the drop; Ripple pool shows the moon's phase right now. Analysis reads the end of the chain as you hear it, in 27 bands, with ITU-R 468 or A-D weighting, window, axis and FFT size. Full-screen flashes stay at three a second or fewer (WCAG 2.3.1). ■ Screen and widgets In 50 disc modes the album art is the jog wheel, twelve steps to a turn; video gets the same wheel as a translucent ring. The seek step is 5, 10, 20, 30 or 60 seconds, shared by notifications, headsets and widgets. Light and dark themes, six accent colors: terracotta, emerald, sky, rose, violet and amber. ■ Library and playback Today's picks learns on the device from your history, the time of day and the loudness and tone of your files, chooses the next track and says why. Browse by track, album, artist, genre, composer, folder or quality. Narrow to 16-bit or 24-bit; the filter stays until you clear it. Filter MP3, FLAC, WAV, APE, M4A music and MP4, MKV video by format. Lyrics inside the file play in time (synced LRC); they are read from your device and never looked up online. Music and video play from your device; podcasts stream from public RSS, with download ahead, alerts, speed and OPML. Crossfade runs 1 to 20 seconds, 12 by default. Voice commands play a song by name or set a sleep timer.
