BPlayer is a lightweight, native Android client for watching Acestream streams through your own self-hosted Acestream engine. Unlike apps that bundle a heavy P2P engine or depend on third-party apps, BPlayer connects directly to an Acestream engine running on your local network and plays the resulting stream using Media3/ExoPlayer — Google's modern, actively maintained media playback framework. How it works: Enter a stream ID and BPlayer fetches the manifest from your engine's HTTP output and starts playing instantly. Key features: • Native Media3/ExoPlayer playback — smooth, low-latency streaming • No third-party player dependency • Works with any self-hosted Acestream engine on your network • Lightweight, fast, and built for reliability • Simple stream ID entry — no complicated setup Who it's for: BPlayer is built for users who already run their own Acestream engine and want a clean, dedicated Android app to watch their streams — without the overhead of general-purpose media apps. Requirements: You'll need access to a running Acestream engine on your local network. BPlayer does not include or run the engine itself — it's a player that connects to one you control.
