Full description
Lost your wireless earbuds, a Bluetooth tag or a speaker? BlueRadar turns an invisible Bluetooth signal into a distance you can actually read. HOW IT WORKS Your phone continuously scans for nearby Bluetooth devices that are broadcasting, converts signal strength into an estimated distance, and sorts it into Right here / Very close / In range / Far. Walk in the direction where the number gets smaller and you are getting closer. FIND IT IN AR After a few steps, BlueRadar lines up the signal changes with the positions you walked through and drops a beacon into the camera view, pointing at roughly where the device is. Raise your phone and walk to the beacon. You can also turn once on the spot first — BlueRadar reads the signal change as you rotate and gives you a rough bearing to start with. FEATURES • Live distance estimate and proximity zones — a smaller number means you are closing in • Radar screen with signal strength and trend • AR beacon that draws the direction straight onto the camera view • One-metre calibration for a better estimate on your own device • Pin the devices you look for often, and rename them • Device sheet: manufacturer, type, Bluetooth address, best signal • Devices implementing the Find Me profile can be made to beep • Dark and light themes, metres or feet, English and Traditional Chinese • Haptic and sound feedback so you are not glued to the screen WHAT YOU CAN FIND Wireless earbuds and cases (while out of the case and powered on), Bluetooth speakers, smartwatches and fitness devices, Bluetooth tags and trackers, keyboards, mice and other accessories. WHAT YOU CANNOT FIND (PLEASE READ) • Most earbuds stop broadcasting once they are back in the charging case — no app can find them then • A device with a flat battery sends nothing • Phones do not usually broadcast Bluetooth continuously; to find a phone, use Google Find Hub • Earbuds already connected to another device may broadcast weakly or not at all ABOUT ACCURACY Distance is estimated from Bluetooth signal strength, not GPS-grade positioning. Walls, metal and human bodies all affect the signal, so the number moves around. This is a "warmer, colder" sense of direction, not exact coordinates. Walking a few steps and staying clear of obstructions makes the estimate noticeably better. PERMISSIONS • Nearby devices (Bluetooth): required to scan for Bluetooth signals • Location: Android requires it for Bluetooth scanning. We do not collect or upload your location • Camera: used only for the AR view. Frames are never stored or uploaded PRIVACY Everything BlueRadar scans stays on your phone; it is not uploaded to our servers, because we do not run any. The app includes third-party advertising and crash reporting — see the privacy policy for details. DO I NEED AR? The AR view needs Google Play Services for AR. Phones without it can still use radar mode and distance estimation. Available in English and Traditional Chinese.

What's new

• My devices: all pinned devices on one page, broadcasting or not — check your things are with you before heading out. Not seen? It shows when it was last heard and lets you go find it. • "Check my things" quick-settings tile opens that page in one tap. • Trackers filter: AirTags, SmartTags and Tiles, one row each, to spot one following you. • Geiger clicks: the radar clicks faster as the signal strengthens. • Earbuds go quiet in their case, so they are skipped by default.
