Vouch: Places & Reviews

Vouch tells you what a place is actually like before you show up. What people say about it, what they paid, and exactly where it is. This is the first version we have put in front of anyone, so it is small on purpose. What is missing is listed at the bottom instead of left for you to discover the hard way. FINDING PLACES Search understands what you type instead of just matching letters. Type a dish, a trade, or a local term for a place and you get the results that actually match, not just listings with those words in the name. Results are ordered with intent. An exact name match comes first, then verified places, then everything else ranked by how closely it fits what you searched. THE MAP Explore opens straight on the map. Tap a pin and the place opens right there, hours, rating, price tier, photos, without leaving the map or losing your place. Areas you have already viewed are saved to your phone, and your city's center is preloaded, so browsing on a weak connection mostly just works. A neighborhood you have never opened will still need a live connection the first time. PRICES A single price tag for a whole restaurant hides more than it tells you, the range within one kitchen is often wider than the range between two different ones. So prices are shown as a tier for the place, and individual menu items can carry their own price, so you know what a dish actually costs instead of guessing from an average. REVIEWS Leave a review, add photos, and price the items you ordered. Owners can reply directly to what customers write. IF YOU OWN A PLACE Claim your listing, keep photos and hours accurate, and respond to reviews. Every claim is checked by a real person, not approved automatically, and you can see the status while you wait, along with the reason if it is turned down. REPORTING A LISTING Closed down, moved, wrong hours, wrong number, every listing has a way to flag it. Reports go to a person, not a queue that fixes itself. WHAT IS NOT HERE YET Paid promotion does not exist yet. We have not decided what it should cost, so it is switched off for now. In the meantime, every verified place gets what would normally be paid placement, higher priority in search and a spot in the spotlight section, at no cost. This is not a limited trial and it will not be clawed back later. We are live in Ghana first, with more cities and countries coming as map data there is good enough to show you. Outside our current coverage, the app tells you that directly instead of showing you something half finished.
