Full description
FTP Client is a file transfer client for your phone. Connect to your FTP, FTPS or SFTP server to browse directories, upload and download files, rename and delete — the way you would on a desktop transfer client. ■ Protocols - FTP (plain) - FTPS — explicit, AUTH TLS - FTPS — implicit (port 990 by default) - SFTP — over SSH (port 22 by default) ■ Features - Site manager: save host, port, username and password for the servers you use often, then connect with one tap. Quick Connect is there when you don't want to save anything. - Three tabs — Remote, Local and Queue — swipe between them; each side keeps its own directory. - Upload and download, including recursive folder transfers and multi-select batches. - Resume interrupted transfers from where they stopped (REST / APPE / SFTP RESUME). - Background transfers run in a foreground service, so they keep going when you switch apps or turn off the screen. Progress and speed appear in the notification, with a Cancel All action. - File management: create folders, rename, delete (folders are removed recursively). - Passive (EPSV / PASV) and active (EPRT / PORT) connection modes. - Directory listing compatibility: MLSD, UNIX-style LIST, and IIS MS-DOS-style LIST. - Character encodings: UTF-8, Big5, GBK, Shift_JIS, EUC-KR, ISO-8859-1, for servers with non-UTF-8 filenames. - Separate connections for browsing and transferring, so you can keep exploring while a large file is on its way. ■ Security - FTPS data connections reuse the TLS session from the control connection, as stricter servers require. - Optional "trust any certificate" for servers with self-signed certificates. - SFTP host keys are pinned on first use (TOFU). If a fingerprint changes, the connection is refused; you can clear the stored key from the site settings. ■ Languages English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese (Brazil) and Russian. Follows your system language by default, and can be switched inside the app. ■ Notes - Requires Android 8.0 or later. - The app requests All Files Access so it can browse your whole device and save downloads to any folder you choose. - On some devices (Xiaomi, Huawei and others), set battery optimisation for this app to "unrestricted" so background transfers are not killed. - Recent Android versions make external SD cards read-only; choose internal storage as the download destination. - Note that plain FTP sends credentials and data unencrypted. Use it only on networks you trust, and prefer FTPS or SFTP over the internet. No ads, no tracking. Your site settings stay on your device and are never sent anywhere.
