Am I Dying in This Heatwave? asks the one question your weather app is too polite to answer. "32°C, feels great!" says your phone, while you melt into the pavement. That's because plain air temperature is basically useless — it ignores humidity, which is the actual thing standing between you and heatstroke. Wet-bulb temperature is the number that doesn't lie: it's the point where sweating stops working, and your body starts losing. While the app is intentionally humorous, it tackles a serious scientific topic and a very real global issue: climate change.
