SATYASAIELECTRICALS puts your high-tension plant on your phone: live readings, maximum demand, power factor, and an estimate of what the month is costing you. This is a companion app for plants already fitted with a SATYA SAI ELECTRICALS energy gateway. You will need an account and at least one commissioned gateway. Without them the app has nothing to show you. WHAT YOU SEE • Phase voltages, line currents, active, reactive and apparent power, power factor and frequency, updating as the meter reports. • Charts from one hour to seven days, with history you can step back through. • Energy counters, a daily report, and an archive of earlier periods. MAXIMUM DEMAND, WATCHED PROPERLY Demand charges are billed on the higher of your recorded maximum demand and 80% of your contracted kVA. Below that floor the charge is flat however you run the plant; above it, every extra kVA lands on the invoice. The demand chart draws both thresholds: the point where the charge starts climbing, and the band where the escalated rate applies. You can see how much headroom is left without doing arithmetic. BILLING YOU CAN CHECK • Month-to-date cost and a projection for month end, computed from your own metered data against your HT tariff. • Active and apparent energy, billed power factor, recorded maximum demand, billing demand and load factor. • Time-of-day charges and daytime incentives. • The billing period follows the utility's own reading window rather than the calendar month. On a real plant that difference runs to about one percent of consumption, which is not a rounding error. • Gateway counters are 32-bit and eventually roll over. When one rolls over inside a billing period the app says so, instead of quietly reporting a figure that is wrong by millions of units. These figures are an estimate for planning and verification. They are not your official bill. ALERTS THAT EARN THEIR PLACE Push notifications for the things worth interrupting you: supply lost at your site, demand crossing the billing floor, voltage outside limits, sustained low power factor while the plant is loaded. Alerts are graded by severity and routed accordingly, so a passing warning does not arrive the same way an emergency does. Power factor is only judged when the plant is actually under load, because an idle transformer reads poorly for entirely healthy reasons and alerting on that trains people to ignore alerts. Losing the monitoring link is reported differently from losing supply. They are not the same event and should not read as though they were. WHEN THE SIGNAL DROPS The last known readings stay available offline and are clearly labelled as not live, with the time they were taken. A stale number presented as current is the single failure this app is built to avoid. ACCESS AND PRIVACY Your session is held in the Android Keystore, with optional unlock by fingerprint or device credential. Each user sees only the plants assigned to them. The app reads. It has no control path to the plant and cannot start, stop or reset anything. REQUIREMENTS An account on your organisation's SATYA SAI ELECTRICALS platform, and at least one commissioned energy gateway. Android 8.0 or later. A network connection for live data; cached readings remain available without one.
