Durak Royale: Card Game

Durak Royale is the traditional Russian card game, built properly for Android. Play a quick hand against the computer with no connection at all, or share a five-letter room code and play with two to four friends on their own phones. Durak has no winner in the usual sense — it has a loser. Everybody is racing to empty their hand, and the last player still holding cards is the Durak. Avoiding that is the entire game. PLAY ONLINE WITH FRIENDS • Host a table and read out a five-letter room code. That is the whole setup. • Two, three or four players, each on their own phone. • No account, no email, no password, no sign-up form. Ever. • Pick a name if you like one, or keep the one the app gives you. • Drop a call, lose signal or lock your phone mid-game and come straight back in. • Play again with the same people in one tap — nobody re-types a code. PLAY OFFLINE, ANYWHERE • Two, three or four-handed games against computer opponents. • No connection required and nothing to download once the app is installed. • The opponents follow fixed, understandable strategy — they play the cards, they do not read yours. CARDS YOU CAN ACTUALLY READ • A clean table, laid out the way it is on a real one: the trump indicator and deck to one side, defending cards laid across the attacks they beat. • Only the cards you can legally play light up, so you are never guessing at the rules while it is your turn. • Tap once to choose a card and again to play it — a single mis-touch cannot throw away a trump. • Taking the cards always asks first, because it cannot be undone. • Card counts and connection dots for every opponent, and roles written in words as well as colour. FAIR BY CONSTRUCTION Online games are not refereed by one player's phone. Every move is checked by the server: whether you hold the card, whether it really beats the one it is covering, whether it is your turn at all. And the deck is shuffled in two blind layers by two different devices, so no single player — not even the host — can know where any card ended up. Your opponents' cards are not merely hidden on screen. Your phone is never sent them. THE RULES, EXPLAINED The full rules are in the app, written in plain language: attacking, defending, throwing in, the six-card limit, drawing back up, and how the game ends. Two small things work differently online, and the app says exactly what they are rather than quietly changing the game on you. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO • No sign-up, no account, no email address. • No in-app purchases. • No ads at the table — the only banner is on the menu screens. • No location, no contacts, no camera, no microphone, no files. Durak is a traditional game that belongs to nobody. This app is an original implementation of it: the rules engine, the card artwork, the interface and the written rules here were all made for it.
