Civium: Civic Exam France 2026

Civium is an independent app by Ben Basha. It is not affiliated with, and does not represent, the French Ministry of the Interior (ministère de l'Intérieur) or any government body. Knowledge questions reuse the lists published by the ministère de l'Intérieur (Licence Ouverte / Etalab 2.0). Answers, explanations and situational questions are written by Civium. Sources: https://formation-civique.interieur.gouv.fr/examen-civique/ and the arrêté of 10 October 2025 on the exam format: https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/jorf/id/JORFTEXT000052381620 Get ready for France's civic exam (examen civique) with mock exams in the real format and answers that come with their source. With Civium complet, every answer is explained in French and in your own language. WHICH EXAM? The civic exam is required for a first multi-year residence permit (carte de séjour pluriannuelle, CSP), a resident card (carte de résident, CR) or naturalization. Pick yours and Civium gives you the questions for that level. Not sure? A few simple questions help you choose. A MOCK EXAM IN THE REAL FORMAT 40 questions, 45 minutes, 32 correct answers to pass: 28 knowledge questions and 12 situational questions, drawn at random like the real exam. At the end you see your score, a breakdown by theme and the correction for every question. EVERY ANSWER, WITH ITS SOURCE After each question you see the correct answer with a link to its source (formation-civique.interieur.gouv.fr, service-public.fr). With Civium complet, a short explanation tells you why. EXPLAINED IN YOUR LANGUAGE Questions stay in French, as in the exam. Explanations come in French plus Arabic, English, Turkish, Russian, Portuguese and Spanish. The app's menus come in these 7 languages too. OVER 700 QUESTIONS More than 500 knowledge questions from the published lists (as of September 2026), across the 5 exam themes. The exam's situational questions are not published, so Civium wrote more than 200 for you to practice with. YOUR GAUGE TO 32/40 A ring shows how ready you are and where the 32/40 pass line sits. It tells you which theme to review first. Your mistakes are kept in a list so you can go back to them. UNTIL EXAM DAY A countdown to your exam date, a daily reminder at the time you choose, a home screen widget, and the mock exam timer on your lock screen. FOR EVERYONE Listen: questions and explanations read aloud during practice. Three text sizes, dark mode, and support for your phone's largest text sizes. FREE, NO ACCOUNT, OFFLINE Free every day: 20 practice questions and 1 mock exam. The correct answer and its source, your history, your gauge and the question lists always stay free. No account, no ads. You can practice offline, and your progress stays on your phone. Usage statistics are optional.
