Touch it, set it on a string and pull it up or down for a smooth, continuous tone. • Bow speed becomes loudness, and every change of direction starts a fresh attack - an up-bow and a down-bow never sound the same. • Tilt the bow to cross between the four strings (G, D, A, E), the way a violinist changes the angle of the arm. A straight stroke stays on the string you are playing. • Bow near the bridge for a bright, strong tone, or over the fingerboard for a soft, warm one - sul ponticello and sul tasto. 🎼 FRETLESS FINGERBOARD, CONTINUOUS PITCH • No frets, no steps.
