BBESS

Black Box Evidence Security Shield "Even if you need a sword only once in your life, you should always carry it." Folk wisdom We sincerely hope you will never need BBESS. But if that day ever comes, you'll be glad you prepared in advance. Any smartphone can record video. The real difficulties begin afterward. What if the recording is interrupted unexpectedly? What if the phone breaks, gets lost, is stolen, or becomes inaccessible? What if there's no internet? What if the cloud storage temporarily goes down? BBESS doesn't just record video. Its main goal is to do everything possible to ensure that already recorded information is preserved. Try it for free The free version allows you to: • connect your own cloud storage; • test the app's functionality; • try out the upload process; • explore the main features. For testing, recording is limited to 10 seconds and minimum video quality. The full version removes recording duration limits and unlocks quality selection. We recommend purchasing it in advance. When the app is truly needed, there may be no time or internet access to make a purchase. Ready before you need it BBESS is built for situations that cannot be predicted. Set up the app once. Connect your cloud. Check readiness. And forget about it until the moment it's actually needed. Constant readiness monitoring BBESS constantly checks its status and warns you about potential issues in advance. A clear color system helps you quickly determine readiness: 🟢 Everything is ready. 🟡 There are recommendations for improvement. 🟠 Attention is advisable. 🔴 Intervention is required. If a problem can be resolved automatically or with a single action, BBESS will suggest the quickest way to fix it. Unlike ordinary cameras, BBESS places special emphasis on preserving already recorded information. Technologies are used to increase the likelihood of data preservation: • recording in Fragmented MP4 (fMP4) format; • recording in small sequential fragments; • preparing completed fragments for upload immediately after creation; • automatic resumption of upload after connection is restored or device is restarted; • support for multiple cloud storages with automatic switching; • built-in upload queue; • preservation of already uploaded recordings regardless of the device's future fate. BBESS does not promise the impossible. But it is designed to start protecting your recording as early as possible and to continue doing so for as long as the device and Android allow. Your data belongs only to you BBESS does not require developer servers. You choose where your recordings are stored. Supported: • Google Drive • WebDAV • Nextcloud Planned support: • OneDrive • Amazon S3-compatible storage • other cloud services Dash Cam Mode BBESS can work as a dash cam. Cyclic recording helps capture events that occurred before the decision to save a recording. If needed, fragments can be prepared for upload to the selected cloud. Additional features • quick start of recording from the system notification shade with one tap; • protection of recording stop with PIN and biometrics; • Picture-in-Picture mode; • system readiness monitor; • in-app hints; • GPS and available metadata in video; • cryptographic hashes of files for integrity verification; • resilience to unexpected recording terminations; Responsible use BBESS is designed for documenting events and preserving information and is NOT intended for covert recording, violating the law, or interfering with other people's privacy. Follow the laws of your country and respect the rights of others. We sincerely hope you will never need BBESS. But prepare as if one day you will.
