Full description
An avionics panel for the wrist. Real hour and minute hands sweep a machined plate, and thirteen recessed instrument wells fill the dial edge to edge. Nothing on it is decoration: every well is a reading. THE WEATHER WINDOW THAT NEVER GOES BLANK The large temperature is fed by three sources, tried in order: the live observation, then the nearest hourly forecast, then today's forecast. A lamp marked NOW, +1H or TDY says which one is behind the number you are looking at. In normal use it reads NOW. The other two are there for the hours when your watch's provider has nothing current, and they are the difference between a reading and an empty box. Every reading is dated. Its age sits beside the temperature - 12m AGO, 3h AGO - so a number that has quietly stopped updating cannot pass for a fresh one. A forecast cell sits on each side: plus three hours on the left, today on the right. WEATHER NEEDS ONE PERMISSION, ONCE Wear OS does not grant watch faces location access by default, so until you allow it the weather window shows an amber caution mark and asks for the permission rather than a temperature: Settings > Security and privacy > Permission manager > Location > Watch faces > Allow while using the app. Everything else on the face - time, date, seconds, day of the year, battery, steps, heart rate - works the moment you install it. COMPLICATIONS Seven of them, and every one arrives filled. Heart rate on the left, sunrise and sunset on the right, and your next calendar event in the wide window at the foot. All three arrive on your watch's own system providers, so a fresh install shows real readings before you touch anything. They take a short text reading with the provider's own icon beside it; a gauge or arc provider will not fit these three, and this listing will not pretend otherwise. Four more are app-shortcut slots. Left unassigned they still draw a real launcher tile rather than a hole; point one at an app and it draws that app's own icon. All seven are reassigned on the watch. NO DEAD TAP TARGETS Every tap target on this dial opens something that exists on every Wear OS watch. Nothing here is specific to one manufacturer, so nothing answers with an error on a Pixel Watch. FOUR ILLUMINATION SCHEMES Green for a flight display, amber for a caution lamp, cyan for the sky half of an attitude indicator, magenta for a plotted course. The plate, the hands and the engraved legends never change - only the light does. One setting, four options, chosen on the watch. There is no phone app to install. EVERYTHING ON THE PLATE Weather with its two forecast cells and its age stamp. Day of the year. Seconds. Battery percent with a ten-segment bar. Steps against your goal, with an amber notch at the target. Day, date, month and year. The three source lamps. And three windows you fill yourself. THE TIME IS NEVER CROWDED The hour hand lives inside a clear disc that no readout may enter, so a number can never sit on top of it. The minute hand passes over the wells rather than behind them. The hands and the hour marks are the only white on the dial; everything else is engraved grey or lit in the colour you chose. ALWAYS-ON The ambient dial is cut back to hour marks, a horizon line and outlined hands - measured at 3.8 percent of the screen lit. Built with Watch Face Format.
