Full description
Sleep through the journey. We'll wake you before your stop. Lazy Maps is a navigation app with an alarm that knows where you are. Set your stop, put your phone away, and doze off. When you get close it rings loudly, even on silent. WAKE ME AT MY STOP Set a wake-up by distance from your stop, by how many minutes before you arrive, or at a point you pick along a drive. It rings on your phone's alarm channel and takes over the lock screen, so it behaves like a real alarm and not like a notification you sleep straight through. Choose Once for a single trip, or Every time for a commute you make daily: set it once and it rings whenever you come back into range. MEASURED BY ROAD, NOT BY MAP Two kilometres in a straight line can be five kilometres of road. Lazy Maps measures the distance you actually have left to travel, so a wake-up set for one kilometre rings a kilometre from your stop, not whenever a circle on a map says so. BUILT FOR TWO-WHEELER COUNTRIES Route as a car, a two-wheeler, an auto-rickshaw, a bus, or on foot. Two-wheeler routing uses roads a car cannot, and gives you a scooter's honest arrival time instead of a car's. Coverage and route quality come from Google Maps and vary by country. CATCHING A TRAIN? Lazy Maps does not draw rail routes. Pick your station and set a wake-up on it instead: the alarm works on distance or arrival time whether or not there is a line on the map. That is what the app was built for. NAVIGATION Turn-by-turn directions with spoken guidance. A head-up display with your speed, distance to go and arrival time. Live traffic, alternative routes, and a stop you can add along the way. Share your live ETA with whoever is waiting, straight from the navigation screen, and they can open it without installing anything. THE MAP Search anywhere, save the places you go to often, and see the temperature, air quality and UV where you are without opening a thing. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT, SOCIAL ONLY IF YOU ASK Navigation and the wake-up alarm work with no account at all. Your stops, your saved places and your alarms stay on your phone. Sign in only when you want to involve somebody else: sharing your live location, being picked up, or joining a family circle. That is the only time anything reaches our server, and you can delete the account and everything in it from Menu, Profile, Delete account. A circle carries whether you are at a saved place, on the move, and your battery level. It never carries your coordinates on a map. Place alerts and family status need "Allow all the time" location, because they have to work when the app is closed, which is the only time they matter. If you grant "while using the app" instead, everything still runs and the app tells you plainly on the home screen which part is not working, rather than going quiet and letting you assume you are covered. If you want, lock the whole app behind your fingerprint. HONEST LIMITS The alarm needs your phone to have battery, signal and location switched on, and some phones shut background apps down aggressively. It is a very good alarm, not a guarantee, so please don't rely on it alone for something you cannot afford to miss.

What's new

• Works with TalkBack: every button is labelled, and turns, alarm distance and SOS status are read out. • New, free: Spoken wayfinding and "Where am I?" tell you the streets, crossings, stops and places around you, anywhere in the world. • The Emergency screen shows your own country's emergency number. • Clearer notices before the app uses your location, microphone or map data. • Fixes and polish.
