Ball On Edge is a fast, physics-driven arcade game with a neon synthwave look. A glowing ball drops into a corridor with a deadly ceiling above and a deadly floor below. The gap between them narrows as you progress. Your only safe zone is the slabs in the middle. Bounce from slab to slab, don't touch the ceiling, don't fall to the floor — survive. GAMEPLAY Two modes, one ball: • Endless — an infinitely generated corridor. The safe band between ceiling and floor narrows over time, and every row is different. Depth bonuses, combo multipliers, and rising pressure mean no two runs feel the same. • Staged — 12 hand-authored levels, each with its own layout, star thresholds, and corridor curve. Clear a stage to unlock the next. Collect 1, 2, or 3 stars based on your final score. CONTROLS One finger. Hold to steer — the ball follows your touch horizontally while gravity pulls it down. Bounce off the top of a slab to gain height without going over the ceiling. Swipe upward for a short boost burst when you need to cover a horizontal gap. That's it — no buttons, no menus mid-run, nothing between you and the edges. WHY IT FEELS GOOD Physics is real. The ball has mass, momentum, and a damped bounce. Landing at an angle carries your horizontal speed into the jump, so precise steering is rewarded. Hitting a slab from the side hard-stops and reverses you — one reflex away from either the ceiling above or the floor below. The corridor is your clock. The gap between the two deadly edges shrinks as the run goes on. Every second is a decision: land on the next slab at the right height, boost over the gap without brushing the ceiling, or accept that the run ends now. Visuals are fully procedural: scrolling synthwave grid floor, radial void gradient, drifting parallax particles, CRT scanlines, screen shake on impact, particle bursts on pickups, hit-stop on death. Everything renders on a single CustomPainter for consistent 60fps across device sizes. Audio is layered. A looping synthwave track plays in the background. Procedural sound effects fire on bounce, orb pickup, spike impact, boost, and star reveal — each on a dedicated low-latency player so effects always land on the frame they should. PROGRESSION Every score, star, and setting stays on your device. No account, no sign-up, no servers. There is a local leaderboard with your top 20 runs per mode, total-star counter, and progress bar across all stages. Reset everything from Settings in one tap. MONETIZATION The game is free to download and fully playable. To keep it free, it shows interstitial ads between levels and on game over, plus optional rewarded ads (for example, watch an ad for one extra life). You can turn off ad personalization at any time from your device's ad settings. Your game data is never used for ads and is never sent to any server — only the ad provider's own limited signals apply to advertisement serving. PLATFORMS Built for Android. iOS build is scaffolded and iOS-safe (no Android-only APIs) but not currently published to the App Store. Mobile-only, portrait orientation. No emulator or PC support. AGE Rated Teen (13+). The game contains no violence, no profanity, no in-app purchases, and no external links.
