Portuguese A2 Citizenship Test

An unofficial practice app published by AZSoft. It does not represent any government body and is not affiliated with AIMA, the IRN, CAPLE or the Universidade de Lisboa. Since 2026, Portuguese law (Lei Orgânica n.º 1/2026) requires proof of Portuguese for a nationality application. You prove the level with the CIPLE (A2), run by CAPLE, at the Universidade de Lisboa. The final mark gives a grade (Muito Bom, Bom, Suficiente, Insuficiente) and nationality requires Suficiente, that is 55%. The app's estimate covers reading and listening only, with the 45 and 30 weights scaled to 60% and 40%. EVERY ANSWER, EXPLAINED Each question comes with an explanation that points to the key sentence in the document (audio or text) and shows why the other options are wrong: the elimination method that counts on exam day. THE CITIZENSHIP MODULE The law also requires a culture, history and citizenship test. The test regulations are not published yet: the questions of the Citizenship module are based on the law. The training content stays in European Portuguese, the language of the exam.
