Flow Translate

Flow Translate is an Android keyboard that translates what you type without making you leave the app you are using. Write your message, choose a target language, and tap the Translate key on the keyboard. The translation is inserted into the active text field, and if the field supports a send action the message is sent with the same tap. In apps that do not support it, the translation simply waits in the field for you to send. You can also hide the Translate key. While it is hidden, your text is translated on its own about 2 seconds after you stop typing. Automatic translation never sends the message — sending is always your decision. You can also translate an incoming WhatsApp text message with one tap, without copying or long-pressing it. Enable “One-tap incoming message translation” in Flow Translate and choose the target language in the app. The source language is detected automatically. WhatsApp shows only a small translate icon; language selection remains in Flow Translate. Translation runs inside your phone with Google ML Kit. The pack for the language pair you choose (about 30 MB) is downloaded once, and after that translation works without an internet connection. Translating incoming messages is always free and never uses any quota. For messages you write yourself, the first 30 translations are free; after that a one-time Google Play in-app purchase unlocks unlimited lifetime translation. There is no subscription. The same purchase also unlocks the Chrome extension and the Mac app at no extra cost. Dictation uses the Android speech recognition service installed on your device, so availability may vary. Optional incoming-message translation uses Android Accessibility. Immediately before opening the system setting, the app presents a separate disclosure and asks for affirmative consent. When enabled, the service reads only visible incoming WhatsApp message text and its on-screen position while WhatsApp is open. It uses that information to place the translate icon and translate the message on-device. It does not store or share message text, send it to the developer, or act on the user's behalf.
