Full description
Audlum Keys is a visual lookup tool for the two things a keyboard player checks constantly: what notes a scale contains, and which keys a chord actually lands on. Pick a root and a type, and the two-octave keyboard lights the notes with the root in amber — no menus to dig through, no theory paragraphs to read first. Scales - Twelve scale types: major, natural, harmonic and melodic minor, the five common modes (Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Locrian), major and minor pentatonic, and the blues scale. - Each note is named and numbered by degree, and the step pattern is laid out as a W–W–H formula strip, so the interval structure is visible at a glance rather than memorised. Chords - Eleven chord types from any of the twelve roots: major, minor, diminished, augmented, sixth, major seventh, minor seventh, dominant seventh, sus2, sus4 and add9. - Every chord tone is tagged with its interval — R, M3, P5, m7 and so on — and an inversion control re-voices the shape on the keys, so you can read root position and each inversion in turn. Details that matter - Enharmonic spelling follows the key you are in: F major reads B♭ rather than A♯, while A major reads F♯ and C♯. The names stay consistent instead of defaulting to sharps everywhere. - Star any scale or chord and it lands on the Saved page as a mini-keyboard thumbnail; tap it to reopen the exact shape in place, newest first. - Audlum Keys draws shapes, it does not play them. There is no audio anywhere in the app — it is a reference to read, not an instrument to sound. The layout is dark by design and sized to stay legible on a phone held one-handed at the piano, so a scale or a chord voicing is a couple of taps away mid-phrase.

What's new

Version 1.0 — the first build. Twelve scales and eleven chord types on a two-octave keyboard, degree and interval labelling, key-correct enharmonic spelling, chord inversions, and a Saved page for the shapes you reach for most.
