Full description
Emergency Department Pathways is a fast, offline clinical reference for doctors, nurses, paramedics and students working in acute and emergency care. It turns the major emergency presentations into clear, stepwise decision pathways — from first recognition through severity grading, treatment and dosing, to disposition — with every pathway citing the national and international guidelines it is built on. Designed for the bedside: open a condition, work through the steps, and reach a clear disposition. No clutter, no sign-in, no internet required. 35 EMERGENCY PATHWAYS Cardiovascular: chest pain & ACS, cardiac arrest (ALS), SVT/VT, atrial fibrillation, pulmonary embolism, bradycardia. Respiratory: acute asthma, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia (CAP), pneumothorax. Neurology: acute stroke, status epilepticus, headache red flags. Infection: sepsis, meningitis/encephalitis, necrotising soft-tissue infection. Endocrine: DKA, hyperosmolar hyperglycaemia (HHS), hypoglycaemia. Renal & electrolytes: acute kidney injury, hyperkalaemia, hyponatraemia. Toxicology: paracetamol, TCA/SSRI, opioid overdose. Haematology: major haemorrhage protocol, upper GI bleed. Environmental (NEW): accidental hypothermia and hyperthermia / heat stroke. Plus anaphylaxis, burns, acute psychiatric emergency, cauda equina, acute limb ischaemia, drowning and more. WHAT YOU GET IN EVERY PATHWAY • A stepwise decision tree with severity stratification • Adult AND paediatric dosing considerations • Clear disposition and "don't miss" guidance • Tappable citations to the source guideline on every screen (NICE, Resus Council UK, ESC, JBDS, BTS, KDIGO and others) • Adjustable text size for bedside readability EVIDENCE-BASED & TRANSPARENT Every recommendation is drawn from published national or international guidelines, listed on each pathway and in the in-app References section. Tap any citation to open the publishing body's website. PRICING Three pathways (Anaphylaxis, Sepsis, DKA) are free to try. Unlock all 35 pathways with a single one-time purchase no subscription, no adverts, no tracking, and full offline access. It is NOT a substitute for clinical judgement, formal training, or your local hospital protocols, and is not intended for use by patients for self-diagnosis or treatment. Always verify drug doses, indications and contraindications against your local guidelines and the current BNF/BNFc, and seek senior input when uncertain.
