Full description
AstroStitch merges several overlapping photos — zoomed regions of the lunar disc, frames of the solar disc, a Milky Way sweep or a landscape — into a single large, sharp image. All processing runs in a native C++ engine with OpenCV, on your own device. No account, no cloud, and your photos are never uploaded anywhere. FOUR MODES • Lunar Mosaic — registration hardened for maria and the low-contrast limb, where ordinary aligners fail on the repetitive texture of craters. • Solar Mosaic — the same disc path, tuned for the photosphere: multi-band blending in 16-bit as well, sharpness equalisation across frames, and an antialiased limb. • Deep Sky — star-based alignment, auto-detected sweep orientation, dark sky preserved. • Panorama — cylindrical or spherical projection for landscapes and wide fields. BUILT FOR ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY • Output in TIFF, PNG and JPG, 8 or 16-bit — the 16-bit path preserves radiometric fidelity. • Camera RAW: CR2/CR3, NEF, ARW, DNG, RAF, ORF, RW2, PEF and more, decoded with LibRaw. RAW is always developed with the sRGB curve, like an ordinary converter: the app stitches, it does not reinterpret your image. • Graph-cut seams following low-gradient regions, plus multi-band blending — desktop-compositor quality. • Disc content mask: only the disc enters the seam, and black sky never wins the blend. • Exposure compensation across frames, which also flattens vignetting gradients. • Light stacking of near-identical frames (bursts and duplicates), cutting noise without smearing the mosaic. • EXIF orientation handled correctly, including on the 16-bit path. • Composition resolution at 8 MP, 32 MP or Full — and the app scales down on its own, telling you, when device memory cannot take it. MINERAL MOON Brings out the Moon's real mineral colour — titanium pulls blue, iron pulls ochre. Brightness and detail do not change; only colour. USING IT A four-step wizard: import your photos, adjust, process, save. Every processing stage shows its own progress bar. Tap a thumbnail to open the photo full screen and check sharpness and framing before processing. Dark interface, in English and Portuguese. PRIVACY AstroStitch collects no data. There is no sign-up, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. Your photos are read and processed on the device and leave it only when you save to the gallery or share. REQUIREMENTS Android 8.0 or later. Full-resolution mosaics are memory-hungry: on modest devices, prefer 8 MP or 32 MP.

What's new

No more step on the Moon's edge • Mosaics with many frames: the disk edge no longer jumps where the composition switches panels. • Each panel is now placed exactly where the alignment computed it — the offset reached 10 pixels. • More of the disk used: in a 16-frame phone mosaic, the detected outline went from 47% to 64%. • Applies to Moon and Sun. Panorama and deep sky are unchanged.
