Every loan becomes a written agreement in plain English, signed by both people, witnessed if you want it witnessed, and tracked to the last payment. No lawyers, no paperwork, no awkward conversation. Both sides see exactly the same thing, from the first pound to the final one. HOW IT WORKS 1. Say whether you are lending or borrowing. 2. Add the other person and the amount. 3. Choose how it gets repaid — weekly, monthly, in one go, or whenever they can. 4. Add witnesses, if you want them. 5. Read the agreement and sign it. 6. Share the link so the other person can read it and sign too. The loan is only active once you have both signed. Nothing is recorded behind anyone's back. A RECORD THAT HOLDS UP • One agreement, in plain English: who, how much, how often, and when it ends. • Two signatures, each stamped with the date it was given. • Optional witnesses, who can see the agreement and confirm what they witnessed. • Every payment logged with the date the money actually changed hands, and who entered it. • Corrections require a reason and stay on the record — nothing quietly disappears. • A complete timeline of the loan: signatures, payments, changes, settlement. Witnesses are emailed once both people have signed. They can see the agreement, follow the repayments and confirm what they witnessed — and they can never change anything. Entirely optional, on any loan. WHAT ASENTO IS NOT Asento does not lend money, hold money or move money. There is no credit check, no interest and no fees on your loan. You settle up however you already do — bank transfer, cash, whatever suits. Asento does not verify anyone's identity or vouch for anyone; it records what two people agreed, when they agreed it, and what has been paid since.
