A Modern Take on Classical Mat Pilates At the heart of alma pilates is classical mat Pilates, thoughtfully reimagined for the modern mover. Our classes honor the original principles of Pilates—control, precision, breath, alignment, and flow—while integrating contemporary sequencing and intentional pacing. Each class is a 45-minute full-body mat Pilates experience, designed to leave you feeling strong, aligned, and energized. Movements are intentional, transitions are fluid, and every exercise has a purpose. Deep core engagement for functional strength Full-body toning without impact or heat Mindful transitions for better coordination and awareness Posture, alignment, and balance emphasized in every sequence An energizing burn that challenges without overwhelming This is Pilates as it was meant to be—refined, effective, and deeply connected to your body. Non-Heated by Design Alma pilates is a non-heated studio by choice. We believe that true strength, awareness, and alignment are best cultivated in an environment that allows you to feel every movement fully. Without heat or distractions, your focus is on form, breath, and precision. Benefits of a non-heated studio include: Greater mind-body connection Clearer cueing and execution Safer, more sustainable movement A grounded, calming experience This approach ensures every class is both energizing and restorative, leaving you feeling fully aligned and centered.
