Upkeep: MTG Life Counter

Upkeep is a life counter for Magic: The Gathering players who are tired of doing arithmetic out loud. Two to eight players, each with a panel of their own, turned to face them across the table. There are no plus and minus buttons: tap a player for their menu, drag one player onto another to record the actions between them, hold a panel to pass the turn. Every tap becomes a log entry for ArcaneMetriX pods, so the game writes its own history while you play it. FREE, AND FREE OF EVERYTHING ELSE • No ads, no pop-ups mid-game, no account required for the base life counter. • Works with no signal. Nothing about tracking a game should require the internet. AT THE TABLE • 2–8 players, in layouts that face everyone at once. • Life, commander damage, commander tax, poison, and energy, experience and rad counters. • The monarch and the initiative, passed with a tap. • Land drops, mulligans, who went first, and a turn timer that calls out a long turn. • Teams: two players, one panel, one life total. • Your commanders' artwork behind every panel. • Undo anything, or read the whole game back in the log that tracks every action. • Dice from d4 to d100, a coin, the planar die, and a random player picker. BEFORE THE GAME • Pick who leads, or let the table roll for it. • Keep or mulligan under London, Vancouver, Paris or the original rule, free first mulligan included. Or if your ArcaneMetriX pod has a house rule mulligan, you can just use that. AFTER THE GAME • A results screen: who won, how long it ran, and what happened along the way. • Sign in with an ArcaneMetriX PRO account and the game you just tracked becomes a Pod Game Log entry by itself including players, decks, placements, eliminations, turn count and a turn-by-turn life chart, with no form to fill in afterwards. • Pod ratings update the moment the game ends. • Plan pod nights, say you are coming, say what you are bringing, and start the game with the seats and decks already filled. Pod features and stats are available to ArcaneMetriX PRO members. The tracker itself is free. PRIVACY No ads and no tracking of any kind. Crash reports only; and they are never tied to who you are. If you never sign in, the app never sends anything anywhere. Upkeep is unofficial Fan Content permitted under the Fan Content Policy.
