Full description
PingDrop connects your Android phone to your Mac, so the two finally behave like one device. Your phone's notifications appear on your Mac as native macOS notifications, with the right app icon. Text you copy on one device is ready to paste on the other. Files move between them by drag-and-drop or the share sheet. Nothing goes through the cloud. NOTIFICATIONS ON YOUR MAC See your messages, calls and alerts on the Mac you're already looking at. Each one arrives as a proper macOS notification with the correct app icon. Clear it on your Mac and it clears on your phone. Choose exactly which apps come through — everything else stays on the phone. CLIPBOARD THAT FOLLOWS YOU Copy on your Mac, paste on your phone. Going the other way, send your phone's clipboard to your Mac from the Quick Settings tile or the share sheet. Passwords copied from a password manager are never synced. FILES, BOTH DIRECTIONS Drag files onto PingDrop in your Mac's menu bar, or right-click them in Finder → Send to Phone. Share anything from your phone to PingDrop to send it to your Mac. Live progress on both ends, cancellable from either side, with a history of everything you've moved. FIND MY PHONE — AND YOUR MAC Lost your phone in the house? Ring it from your Mac's menu bar — loudly, even on silent. Ring your Mac from your phone, its widget or a Quick Settings tile. Pick the ring sound on each device. WI-FI SPEED, BLUETOOTH RELIABILITY On the same Wi-Fi, files move at full local-network speed. Off Wi-Fi, PingDrop falls back to Bluetooth Low Energy so notifications and clipboard keep working. It switches on its own. AT A GLANCE Your Mac's battery and charging state on your phone, and your phone's battery in your Mac's menu bar. PRIVATE BY DESIGN, NOT BY PROMISE PingDrop has no servers. There is no account, no sign-in, and no backend for your data to pass through. Your phone talks straight to your Mac over your own network, encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key exchanged by scanning a QR code on your Mac. That key never leaves your two devices. The developer cannot read your notifications, your clipboard, or your files — there is nowhere for that data to go. PINGDROP PRO One purchase, no subscription — on your phone and your Mac: • No ads, ever • Any file size (free transfers are up to 2 GB each) • Reply to messages from your Mac • Notification rules: quiet hours, Quiet or Priority per app • Notification history and search on your Mac • Media controls: play, pause and skip your phone's music from the Mac • Auto-send a folder, like Screenshots, to your Mac • Home-screen widget • Clipboard images, calendar reminders, custom battery alerts, and choosing where files are saved Pro restores automatically on a new device or a reinstall — Google Play's record of your purchase is all it needs. SETUP 1. Install PingDrop on your Mac 2. Open it and choose Pair New Phone 3. Scan the QR code with this app 4. Grant notification access when prompted Requires the PingDrop companion app for macOS. ABOUT PERMISSIONS On Android 11 and below, Android requires location permission for any app that scans for Bluetooth devices. PingDrop never requests, stores or sends your location, and on Android 12 and above it isn't asked for at all. Crafted by Neeraj Reddy.
