Full description
Every student revising for an exam ends up with the same pile: past papers, a syllabus, and a pen. They sit down, set a timer, work through the questions, and mark their own answers off a key - then throw the workings away, because there is nowhere to put "I keep losing marks on the same three topics." Google Classroom is now standard in local schools and students already reach for a chatbot to study, but neither answers the question that actually matters the night before an exam: which topics are genuinely weak, and is that getting better or worse. Own Papers is that pile of past papers, kept properly. Write your own questions once, by subject and topic, assemble them into a paper with a time limit, and sit it against a countdown clock exactly as you would the real thing. Every paper on the desk is drawn as what it is - an unsat one sits square in a neat stack, the way a fresh pile off the printer sits; a sat one is dropped loosely below it, at its own small angle, carrying its score stamped in the corner the way a teacher circles a mark in red pen. A glance at the desk says more than any number could: a tidy stack with nothing scattered under it is a student who has written questions but never actually sat one. Sitting a paper fills a bubble sheet rather than ticking a box, under a running clock in the header. Submit, or run out of time, and the same sheet turns over in place to show its own marking - a tick or a cross beside every question, the correct option shaded in where it was missed, the score stamped exactly where it will sit back on the desk. There is no separate results page: the paper you sat is the paper you see graded. And the clock is treated honestly - a paper the timer cut off is marked exactly the same as one submitted early, question for question, but the app never lets the two look like the same kind of ending, because racing the clock and finishing with time to spare are not the same fact even when the score comes out equal. What makes the pile worth keeping is what happens after. Every mark ever recorded, on every paper, is read back by topic - but only once there is enough of it to mean something. A topic with two questions against it is not a weak topic, it is two questions, and the app says so honestly rather than ranking it. Past that point it tells the truth plainly: a topic sitting at under half correct overall is a genuine weak spot; one that used to be weak but has pulled itself up on its last few attempts is shown as improving rather than dragged down by a stale average; and one that looked fine on the whole but has slipped on its most recent sittings is flagged before it becomes a habit. Revision time is too short to spend re-learning a topic that has already turned around, or to miss one quietly sliding. Own Papers scores the paper you gave it, and nothing more. It makes no claim about a real exam result and is affiliated with no exam board, syllabus or awarding body - write questions to whatever syllabus you like, the app itself endorses none of them. It is not a flashcard app either: every question belongs to a timed paper, never reviewed on its own outside one. There is no course fee or purchase anywhere in it, and everything - every subject, every question, every paper ever sat - stays on the phone it was written on.
