Vaktia

Vaktia brings prayer times, the qibla direction and worship tracking together in a simple, privacy-respecting interface. ■ ACCURATE TIMES Prayer times are calculated with real astronomical formulas from the latitude and longitude of where you are. Travel abroad and the times update automatically for the country you are in. ■ IN 9 LANGUAGES Turkish, English, Arabic, French, German, Indonesian, Urdu, Spanish and Russian. Your phone's language is picked automatically, and you can change it in settings. The prayer notification and the verse of the day arrive in your chosen language too. ■ AUTOMATIC CALCULATION METHOD Every country follows a different convention. Vaktia picks the one used where you are: • Diyanet (Presidency of Religious Affairs, Türkiye) • Muslim World League (MWL) • Umm al-Qura (Makkah) • Egyptian General Authority of Survey • University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi • ISNA (North America) You can also choose the method and the Asr criterion (school) by hand. ■ PRAYER NOTIFICATIONS Turn the notification on or off for each prayer separately. Choose the adhan, a ney taksim, a chime or birdsong as the sound, or use your own audio file from the device. The permissions needed for alerts to arrive to the minute are asked for on one screen the first time you open the app, each with its reason — no hunting through settings. ■ QIBLA COMPASS The direction to the Kaaba from where you stand, shown live through your device's compass sensor. If the sensor misbehaves, align it yourself with manual correction mode. ■ WORSHIP TRACKER Mark the prayers you have performed, see your daily and weekly record, and watch how many days in a row you have completed. ■ VERSE OF THE DAY A different verse about prayer and supplication every day. ■ SIMPLE DESIGN Light and dark themes. Pick your city from a list or use your location. ■ PRIVACY Your tracker, your location and all your settings stay on your device and are never sent to a server. No account is needed, and there is no analytics or tracking. It works without an internet connection. The app shows banner ads through Google AdMob. Because prayer times are produced by astronomical calculation, they may differ by a minute or two from the adhan called at your local mosque.
