The microphone signal is used only to calculate measurement values, and your measurement history remains on your device. IMPORTANT MEASUREMENT NOTE Smartphone microphones differ between devices and cannot replace a professional calibrated sound level meter. For more accurate dB SPL values, calibrate the app with a reference meter. Very loud sounds may exceed the limits of your phone microphone and produce inaccurate results.
