Most assistants forget you the moment you close them, and fill the gaps with something that sounds right. Carrel is built the other way round: what you tell it is kept, what it tells you comes from what you actually said, and when it does not know something it says so. IT DOESN'T FORGET Tell it once. Ask months later, in a different conversation, on a different day. The conversation list only organises what you see on screen — everything you have ever told Carrel is available in all of it, because the memory belongs to you, not to a thread. IT DOESN'T MAKE THINGS UP Ask about your own life and the answer comes from your own words or not at all. If you never mentioned it, Carrel tells you that instead of inventing a plausible answer. That single rule is the difference between a memory you can act on and a chatbot you have to double-check. SHOW YOUR WORKING Any answer can show the memories it came from, with dates. You are never asked to take its word for it. CORRECTIONS ARE MEMORIES TOO Say "actually it moved back to room 210" and Carrel keeps both versions and knows which came later. Ask, and you get what is true now — not the first thing you happened to say. IT TELLS YOU WHAT IT IS UNSURE OF A new memory takes a moment to become findable. Most apps hide that. Carrel marks it while it is still settling, and an answer that might be missing something says so. PHOTOGRAPHS, NOT JUST CAPTIONS Photograph a whiteboard, a timetable, a receipt or a slide. Carrel keeps the picture and reads the writing in it, so months later you can ask who was speaking on the 13th and get the answer off a board nobody thought to type up. TELL IT, DON'T FILE IT Say what happened the way you would say it out loud: the name of the person you just met, the room your exam moved to, where you put your passport. No folders, no tags, no format to learn. AND IT IS EASY TO TALK TO Ordinary conversation works — general questions, small talk, follow-ups that refer to the last answer. Give it a name and a character if you want one, and that is who it is until you say otherwise. Replies are written out as they are composed rather than landing all at once. YOUR DATA IS YOURS Everything you store belongs to your account alone. Settings erases all of it — notes, photographs and conversations — immediately, with no grace period and no copy retained. Deleting your account removes the login as well. Carrel needs an internet connection: your memories live on a server, not only on the phone, so they survive losing the device.
