TAPPY Desk

TAPPY Desk is the registration and top-up app for TAPPY, the cashless service by AMOLVIN for small pop-up events. It needs a TAPPY organiser account. There is no sign-up in the app: AMOLVIN creates organiser accounts after it approves a request at amolvin.com/taptap/#request. Staff never need their own account. SET UP ONCE • The owner or a manager logs in once to link the phone or tablet to the organiser's account, and names it (e.g. Desk 1). The login is not kept on the device: only the link is stored. • With one open event the desk works for it by itself. With several, a supervisor or the owner chooses the event. AT THE DESK • Staff log in with their staff badge, or with a staff number and PIN where the organiser allows it. Depending on the event, a badge tap approves each transaction. • Shift: open it with the float in the drawer, and close it with the cash count. • New: tap an enrolled wristband, enter the first top-up and the amount received (cash, or card if the event takes cards) and an optional name. The guest's wristband then holds TP (event credits). • Top-up: tap the wristband and add TP. • Balance: tap a wristband to see its TP. "Pass link" shows a QR code again, so the guest can link the wristband to the TapTap Pass app. • Transfer between two wristbands: only when the organiser has turned transfers on for the event (they are off by default). • Setup: wristband enrolment, staff and badges, and event settings, after the owner's or a manager's login (it locks again after 5 minutes). • Receipts: print on a Bluetooth receipt printer, if you have one. GOOD TO KNOW • TP are event credits for one event, usable only during that event with its participating outlets. They are not money, are not refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. The desk shows the guest these terms before each registration and top-up. • The app records what staff received at the desk. It does not process cards or any other transaction itself. • TAPPY works online only: the device needs 4G or Wi-Fi. Nothing is stored on the device for later. • Needs an Android phone or tablet with NFC to read wristbands and badges. • The login screen and About link to the privacy policy and to account and data deletion.
