Amble-The Heritage Project Live

Amble is a heritage-focused mobile application developed by RPG Foundation, created to preserve, celebrate, and reintroduce sites of cultural, historical, and social importance. The app transforms everyday city walks into meaningful cultural journeys, making heritage more accessible and engaging for everyone. With Amble, users can explore cities through self-guided heritage walks designed to be experienced at their own pace. Each walking route is carefully curated and supported by extensively researched historical content, offering insights into the stories, people, and events that shaped the city over time. The app features curated heritage trails across cities such as Mumbai and Pune, highlighting historic neighbourhoods, iconic landmarks, and hidden cultural gems. Walks are organised into category-wise listings, allowing users to choose experiences based on interests such as architecture, culture, social history, and local traditions. Amble’s intuitive interface makes navigation simple and user-friendly, guiding users through walking routes while presenting informative and engaging content along the way. Selected heritage sites also offer Augmented Reality (AR) experiences, adding an interactive layer that brings history to life and enhances cultural understanding. Designed for residents, students, and visitors alike, Amble is ideal for those interested in heritage walks, cultural exploration, walking tours, local history, urban exploration, and historical landmarks. Whether you are rediscovering your own city or exploring it for the first time, Amble offers a thoughtful and immersive way to experience heritage beyond monuments. By blending technology, storytelling, and community engagement, Amble supports the preservation of cultural heritage while encouraging mindful walking and deeper connections with urban spaces.
