ALTMarriage: Family Matrimony

ALTMarriage is a matrimonial service for families and for adults who are serious about marriage. It is built around a practice that is ordinary in the communities it serves and unusual in an app: a guardian — a parent, an elder, or a trusted matchmaker — can carry the process on a candidate's behalf, and nothing about a person is revealed until both sides have agreed to reveal it. WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO • No swiping, and no "like" gestures. • No casual chat, and no messaging between strangers — a conversation exists only after both sides have formally accepted an introduction. • No location-based or nearby browsing. • No open photo galleries. Photographs are stored blurred and stay that way until a mutual reveal. HOW IT IS DIFFERENT • A guardian can hold the account. Under a guardian assignment, a parent, elder, or matchmaker searches, sends and receives proposals, and approves each step for the candidate in their care. The candidate sees everything done in their name. Matrimonial agencies and bureaus can be granted the same representation with the family's consent. • Disclosure happens in stages, and both sides must agree at every one. Photographs, then identity, then contact details, then a meeting — each stage is a checkpoint that neither side can pass alone, and stages cannot be skipped. • An introduction becomes a case. Once both sides accept, a case opens and holds the messages, approvals and milestones in one auditable, append-only record that both families can rely on. • Privacy is structural, not a setting. Sensitive and community-specific details are never made searchable, contact information is never exposed by search, and every field on a profile carries its own visibility. HOW IT WORKS 1. Create a profile for yourself, or accept a guardian assignment and create one for a candidate in your care. 2. Set partner preferences, and search profiles that meet them. 3. Express interest. Nothing opens until the other side — or their guardian — accepts. 4. Move through the consent checkpoints together, sharing more only when both sides are ready. 5. Meet, with both families informed.
