Alsababa connects students with teachers for live one-to-one video lessons in Quran and sign language. It is made for deaf and hard-of-hearing learners, and for hearing learners too: the lesson happens over video, so you and your teacher can see each other sign. How Sessions work Lessons are booked in Sessions. A Session is a 10-minute live video lesson between you and one teacher. The Sessions screen shows the Sessions you can use today and your full history. Instant Sessions See which teachers are online now and call one. The teacher's phone rings, and your 10 minutes start when the teacher answers. Starting a call uses a Session. If the teacher declines or does not answer, the Session comes back to you automatically. Scheduled requests Open a teacher's profile, choose a time the teacher has made available, and send a request. Sending a request uses a Session. The teacher approves or declines, and you are notified either way. If the request is declined or canceled, the Session comes back to you. Need more time? When a few minutes are left, ask your teacher to extend by 10 minutes. If the teacher agrees, the lesson continues without reconnecting. An extension uses another Session. Your profile Tell teachers your hearing status, your sign-language level and your Quran level, and choose what you want to study: recitation (Tajweed), memorization (Hifz), interpretation (Tafsir), general revision or a level assessment. Also - Sign in with your phone number and a one-time SMS code. No passwords. - Calls are not recorded. - Report a problem with a Session from inside the app. - Arabic and English. - The app contains no purchases or subscriptions. Who it is for Alsababa Student is for users aged 13 and over. Your account and your data Delete your account from the menu: Settings → Delete account. Deletion is refused while a live Session is in progress.
