Advantage unlike football if an offense occurs, play continues until the referee deems that the team that did not commit the offense has gained a tactical or territorial advantage, however if no advantage is gained then the referee award that offense where it was committed.. One of the first things a child learning the game is taught is you play to the whistle meaning you play on until the whistle tells you otherwise as advantage may be gained or lost.

What's new

The welsh are famous for this style of game, although the phrase originates from new zealand. It involves offloading out of the tackle, keeping the ball in play more and avoiding contact.. This game is more pleasing and so is applauded if a team can master it however it carries far more risk than any other style and can back fire spectacularly as it did for the welsh against england in february.
