Akide Quest: Candy Puzzle

Akide Quest is a thinking game. You place candies on the tray and build chains, but the real question is never "where is the match". Every colour you pop makes the dragon angrier, and if its rage reaches the seventh level, you lose the board. THE DRAGON IS WATCHING The highest scoring move is usually the worst one. A red chain angers the dragon three times more than a yellow one, while the colours you leave alone calm down. So every turn asks the same question: what is the least destructive thing I can do right now? You are managing the dragon, not the board. YOU BUILD THE CHAIN Match candies whose colours are exactly the same and you score full value; match ones that merely share a colour and you get half. Four identical candies create a Big Akide that sweeps the tray. The longest line wins. The rules take five minutes to learn and a whole level to use well. 130+ LEVELS, NOTHING RANDOM Every level was built and balanced on its own. The first ones teach the rules; then ice blocks, locked tiles, the oven and a shrinking move budget arrive. Some levels will not fall on the first try, and they are not meant to. SPECIAL CANDIES Cinnamon blasts in a plus. Star anise strikes the diagonals. Caramel bakes in the oven into a golden joker, but if you do not harvest it within two moves it burns and the dragon boils over. No mechanic is explained in a wall of text; the game plays each one out for you. TEAMS AND LEADERBOARDS Join a team and climb the regional and global boards if you want to.
