Splashe Casta is a hands-on seismology lab that turns your phone 📱 into a working epicenter-triangulation instrument. Deploy a network of seismograph stations on a survey map 🗺️, read the P- and S-wave arrivals each one records, and pinpoint where a hidden earthquake struck — the same way geophysicists do. At the heart of the app 📱 is the Field Lab. Tap 👆 to drop seismograph stations onto the map 🗺️ and drag ✋ them anywhere; each station instantly shows its S-minus-P interval, which the app converts into a distance-to-epicenter range circle. Place three or more stations and the solver performs a least-squares intersection of those circles to estimate the epicenter, its magnitude, and the residual error of your solution — all computed on the device from a real seismic travel-time model.
