Draw the space as simple ✨ rectangles — an L-shaped patio, a garden path, a shed base — mark the drain cover or tree pit you have to work around, pick a paver or slab and one of five bonds, and every unit 📐 is placed for you: full units, straight cuts, corner cuts, notches and the fragile slivers you'd rather not cut at all. Then take hold of the ringed paver and slide it. The whole bond moves under your finger and the cut count updates as you drag ✋, so you can find the start 🚀 that leaves clean 🧼 edges. If you'd rather not hunt by hand, the best-start search 🔍 tries every offset in the bond's repeat and shows you what it found before you accept it. Try half-offset or third-offset stretcher, stack bond, basketweave and 90° herringbone on your own area to see which one wastes least. The plan 🗺️ becomes a job sheet. A grouped cut list 📋 tells you exactly where to mark each piece, and offcuts from earlier cuts are matched to later ones, with blade kerf allowed for, so fewer units end up under the saw. A staged laying order starts from the corner you choose. Sub-base, bedding sand, jointing sand, edging and membrane are worked out from your depths, and the shopping list rounds up to whole packs and adds your prices.
