Emperor Fleet Track

Emperor Fleet Track is a fleet operations tool used by C&J Gravel Products Inc. It runs on company-owned tablets mounted in the company's commercial trucks and reports each vehicle's location to the C&J fleet-management system. WHO THIS APP IS FOR This app is intended only for authorized C&J Gravel Products personnel. It requires an activation key provided by your fleet administrator. Without an activation key, the app will not function. WHAT IT DOES • Reports the vehicle's GPS location to the company fleet-management system while the truck is in operation, so dispatch and safety staff can see where each vehicle is. • Helps confirm that the required daily pre-trip safety inspection was completed before a vehicle leaves the yard, in support of U.S. FMCSA regulations (49 CFR 396.11 / 396.13). • Lets the driver select which truck the tablet is assigned to at the start of a shift. HOW IT WORKS After a one-time activation, the driver opens the app, selects their unit number, and taps "Start Tracking." The app then runs a location service in the background — with a persistent notification shown the entire time — and reports the vehicle's position at a regular interval. The driver does not need to keep the app open or the screen on. LOCATION USE This app collects precise device location, including in the background when the app is closed or not in use, because the tablet stays with the moving vehicle throughout the workday and the driver does not interact with it while driving. Before requesting background location permission, the app shows a disclosure explaining this. Location data is sent only to C&J's own fleet-management backend. It is never used for advertising and is never sold or shared with third parties. All data is encrypted in transit. The app does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or contacts. It contains no ads. PERMISSIONS • Location (precise, foreground and background): to report vehicle position for fleet visibility and pre-trip compliance. • Notifications: to show the required persistent "tracking active" notification. • Run at startup: to resume tracking automatically if a tablet restarts mid-shift.
