History sets the stage. Your moves decide the outcome. Fields of History — Chess brings chess strategy to a battlefield inspired by Waterloo. Lead pieces named after historical commanders, including Napoleon and Wellington, and create your own outcome on the board. A HISTORIC SETTING Explore a board inspired by the landscape and landmarks of Waterloo. Select named pieces to learn about the commanders behind them. EQUAL FORCES Both sides begin with the same number and types of pieces. The Waterloo formation uses mirrored starting positions inspired by battlefield lines, giving each army equal material. TWO STARTING SETUPS Choose the distinctive Waterloo formation or a classic chess setup. Pieces use standard chess movements. Terrain is visual: it does not block movement or grant combat bonuses. Castling is available in the classic setup when legal, but not in the Waterloo formation. PLAY YOUR WAY Challenge the computer or play with a friend on the same device. Play offline, save your progress locally, and return to your game later.
