Aeronautical Apex

Aeronautical Apex is an electronic flight bag built for general aviation pilots. FLIGHT PLANNING Plan a trip and get a complete FAR 91.103 preflight briefing in one step. Routes, legs, fuel, and timing calculated from your aircraft's actual POH performance data, not a generic model. GO / CAUTION / NO-GO VERDICT Apex doesn't just show you data, it tells you what it adds up to. Every plan gets a clear verdict with the specific reasons behind it, plus an explicit list of what could NOT be checked. If a weather fetch fails or a runway can't be evaluated, you're told, rather than shown a clean bill of health. WEATHER AND HAZARDS Current METARs and TAFs with staleness indicated, NEXRAD radar with frame age, AIRMETs and SIGMETs, PIREPs, TFRs verified against your route geometry, FAA NAS status, and NOTAMs in full. CHARTS AND MOVING MAP FAA sectional and terminal charts with offline download by region. Live ownship position, flight track recording, and terrain awareness. RUNWAY AND PERFORMANCE Density altitude, favoured runway with head, cross and tailwind components against your aircraft's demonstrated limits, and takeoff and landing distance for every runway with margins in feet. WEIGHT AND BALANCE Full CG envelope check at takeoff and at landing fuel, with per-seat and baggage entry. LOGBOOK Track flights, hours, currency and endorsements. ATC TRANSCRIPTION (BETA) On-device speech recognition for aviation radio. Audio is processed entirely on your device and is not uploaded. This feature is in active development and accuracy will improve in upcoming releases. COMMUNITY Share flights and connect with other pilots. ADVISORY USE ONLY Aeronautical Apex is a planning and situational awareness aid. It is not certified for navigation and is not a substitute for official sources. The pilot in command is solely responsible for the safe conduct of every flight. Always verify against current charts, official weather, and NOTAMs.
