Full description
SpectraView is a real-time audio spectrum analyzer for Android. Spectrum, RTA, spectrogram, waveform, sound level meter, octave bands and a signal generator in a single audio analyzer app. Everything is measured on your phone, from its own microphone. No account, no sign-in, no internet connection. AUDIO SPECTRUM ANALYZER AND SPECTRUM RTA • Real-time audio spectrum analyzer, FFT 1024 to 32768 points, log or linear frequency axis • Spectrum RTA across 1/1 to 1/24 octave bands, using IEC 61260 band definitions • Spectrogram waterfall with its own FFT size, trading time detail for frequency detail without changing the live spectrum • Waveform view for looking at the signal itself • Fractional-octave smoothing from 1/2 to 1/24, turning a ragged trace into a readable curve • Peak hold, averaging and automatic level ranging HZ ANALYZER: FIND THE FREQUENCY YOU ARE HEARING • Hz analyzer readout: drag across the plot for the exact frequency and level • Automatic peak detection with the musical note and cents deviation • Frequency finder for one big answer to "what frequency is that?" • Pitch detection in the time domain, finding the true fundamental even when a higher harmonic is louder • Hum detector that looks for a 50 Hz or 60 Hz harmonic series and shows the structure it found • Resonance finder for frequencies that keep returning in a room • Frequency band monitor for watching one range over time SOUND LEVEL METER • Decibel meter with A, C and Z frequency weighting • Fast, Slow and Impulse time response • Leq, minimum, maximum, average and peak level • Octave band levels for noise work SPEAKER AND ROOM MEASUREMENT • Swept-sine measurement gives frequency response, impulse response, early reflections and decay • Compare your left and right speakers in a single run • Every capture is graded, so you are told when the input clipped or the signal was too weak to trust • Signal generator: sine, triangle, square, sawtooth, white and pink noise, sent left, right, or both COMPARE, SAVE AND EXPORT • Freeze a curve and watch the live trace move against it: the before-and-after tool • Save measurements with their settings, then reopen or compare them later • Export to CSV, or as a PNG report to share • Pick your microphone and output device, and see which one the system used CONTROLS • Pinch to zoom, slide to pan, drag the decibel scale to move the level window, double tap to reset • Seven accent palettes, with dark and light themes HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT MEASURES A phone microphone is not a calibrated measurement microphone, and this RTA audio analyzer does not pretend otherwise. Without a calibration profile, levels are shown in dBFS, relative to digital full scale, and labelled that way with an UNCALIBRATED marker on the main readout. Calibrate against a reference meter and the app switches to estimated dB SPL, still labelled as an estimate. The unit and the offset always move together, so a reading is never presented as sound pressure when it is not. This is a measurement tool, not a laboratory instrument. Phone microphone response is not flat, platform processing varies between devices, and a sweep measures your speaker, room and microphone together. Relative comparisons on one device are more dependable than absolute figures. WHO USES THIS AUDIO ANALYZER Musicians finding a note, home studios checking a room, installers and AV technicians who want a portable spectrum analyzer on a walkthrough, DIY speaker builders, hi-fi listeners, ham radio operators, and anyone chasing a hum or a rattle. If you use an equalizer, this tool shows what your EQ changes are doing to the sound in the room. PRIVACY Microphone audio is analyzed in memory and overwritten by the next block. It is never uploaded and never saved as a recording; the app has no recording feature. Measurements and settings stay in private storage on your device. One permission is requested: microphone access.
