HollowSpan Edge

Turn ROH into clear bite depth and dual-edge angles. Match L/R targets, apply hockey or freestyle presets, and share offline sharpening cards—consistent edges without cal Full description HollowSpan Edge is an offline-first skate-blade hollow and bite-angle studio for hockey equipment managers, figure-skating coaches, skate-shop apprentices, and parents who maintain freestyle or hockey skates. Instead of a cluttered history log or generic calculator, you work on a live blade cross-section workbench. Lock the blade family and rocker profile, set radius-of-hollow (ROH), and instantly read bite depth plus dual-edge angles. Match left and right targets, apply discipline presets, and export a clear sharpening setup card you can share from the stand. Why it helps • Turn ROH choices into understandable bite angles and matched L/R edges so every grind stays consistent. • Replace guesswork with seeded catalogs and safe ranges ready on first launch. • Keep skater kits and bench notes local—no account required for day-to-day equipment work. Core workbench • Live cross-section view with adjustable ROH and instant bite-depth and edge-angle readouts • Left/right edge match panel with delta warnings when bite depths or angles diverge • Side-by-side hollow compare so you can weigh two ROH choices before grinding • Unit toggle (inches/mm) and note-naming preferences that persist on device Presets and catalogs • Discipline presets for recreational hockey, edges-first freestyle, speed, and goalie that auto-fill safe ROH ranges • Seeded blade-profile catalog covering figure toe-pick families and hockey runners with rocker geometry notes • Wheel grit and pass-count guide with seeded stone and belt sequences for common shop benches • Sample blade included so the workbench is usable on cold start Skater kits and sharing • Named skater kits with per-blade setups stored offline for quick recall between periods or lessons • Shareable sharpening setup cards through the Android share sheet for techs, coaches, and parents Privacy and design • In-app Privacy Policy and Terms of Use explain local-only equipment data (Room and DataStore) • Material 3 cold-steel UI built for shop lighting and fast taps with gloves off HollowSpan Edge is for people who own the edge quality: shop benches, team rooms, and home freestyle setups that need repeatable hollows—not another cloud spreadsheet. Set ROH with intent, match both edges, document the grit sequence, and hand off a card the next tech can trust.
