Linger: See Deleted Messages Live

Linger helps you save and organize the notifications received on your device, so you can return to them even after they disappear from the notification panel. The app stores a local copy of notifications from the apps you choose to monitor. This allows you to reread messages, find notifications you missed, and view the content of messages that were deleted after a notification had already been received. All notification content is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to the cloud by Linger. If the sender later deletes the message, the saved copy may remain available inside Linger. Everything Organized in One Place Instead of searching through dozens of notifications, Linger keeps them organized in a simple and convenient interface: • Chats — notifications grouped by sender or conversation • Timeline — all notifications displayed in the order they were received • Media — saved images and media files when supported Privacy and Control Notification content is stored locally on your device. You decide which apps to monitor, how long to keep the information, and when to delete it. To work properly, Linger requires Android notification access. This permission is used to read the notifications you choose to save and display inside the app. Important Information • Linger can only save notifications received after the app has been installed and configured. • The app cannot recover messages that never generated a notification on your device. • If notifications were muted, their content was hidden, or the app was restricted by the operating system, the message may not be saved. • Saving images and media depends on the original app, device settings, and the information included in the notification. • Linger is not a spying app and cannot read messages from other devices. • Linger is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any messaging apps it may monitor.
