SpamStop

Block spam SMS and MMS, political texts, marketing, and scams. SpamStop uses intelligent local filtering to categorize and suppress unwanted notifications automatically. This all occurs within your default SMS app - no need to replace or use a new SMS app! 🛡️ HOW IT WORKS SpamStop monitors incoming SMS and MMS in the background. When a message matches known spam patterns — political fundraising, unwanted marketing, and more — its notification is suppressed and a copy is saved to your SpamStop log. Messages from your contacts always get through, no matter what, and you can view each caught message within the SpamStop app if you want. The original message always stays in your messaging app, unchanged and undeleted. ✅ FREE FEATURES • Blocks political fundraising texts • Blocks scams (fake prizes, IRS notices, gift cards, warranty calls) • Blocks marketing spam (unsolicited promotions, flash sales, coupon blasts) • View all blocked messages in a categorized log • Remove individual entries from your SpamStop log, or clear them all at once or by category • Contact whitelist — your contacts always get through ⭐ PREMIUM FEATURES (free for your first 7 days) • Unlimited custom keywords — add your own block terms on top of the built-in list • Category on/off toggles — e.g. block political but allow marketing, or enable/disable any category you choose • Filter your blocked message log by category • User option to automatically send opt-out replies to political and marketing senders (never sent to scammers or phishers) • Export & backup your full keyword list as plain text 🔒 PRIVACY FIRST SpamStop works entirely on your device. No SMS content is ever transmitted to our servers. No data is collected by us. Your messages stay yours. 📋 PERMISSIONS NEEDED SpamStop requires SMS permissions (receive, read, send) and notification listener access to detect spam and suppress its notifications. These are used solely for filtering and user-approved opt-outs — never for any other purpose. Every premium feature is free for your first 7 days, with no payment details required. After that the free version keeps working, and Premium is optional: monthly ($0.99), annual ($7.99), or a one-time lifetime purchase ($19.99).
