ABALOBI Market

Get the finest local seafood delivered to your doorstep – along with a story that matters. ABALOBI Market connects you to premium, responsibly-caught seafood sourced directly from small-scale fishers. By ordering our fully traceable 'Fish With A Story' products you will not only receive top-quality seafood, you will also be joining a movement to drive ecological, economic and social change in small-scale fisheries.  • Fish With A Story: Our products are fully traceable 'from hook to cook'. You can scan a QR Code accompanying your order to find out the full Story behind your seafood. You can trace the fish back to who caught it, and learn where, when and how it was caught – it has a social and ecological Story.  You can even message the fisher who caught it! • Convenience and Variety: Choose from fresh, whole catch of the day, portioned and vacuum-sealed deli options, and traditional coastal pantry products produced by women in small-scale fishing communities. We feature a diverse and seasonal basket of species, celebrating what the ocean can sustainably offer. This includes many lesser-known species that are undervalued but rich in flavour. • Eco-Friendly Packaging: Our Convenience Range now comes in ocean-friendly, biodegradable packaging that is 100% natural and home-compostable! • Flexible Payment Options: Pay seamlessly with SnapScan or PayFast (credit card or instant EFT).  • User-Friendly Interface: Easily register, edit your profile, manage delivery preferences, and explore curated recipes within the app. Download ABALOBI Market to partner with small-scale fishing communities on their journey to sustainability. Available to chefs, home cooks, retailers, and food security initiatives in selected countries. In 2023, ABALOBI was selected as a finalist in the Revive our Oceans category of the prestigious Earthshot prize.
