Aangan - The Gathering Place

There's a place where the people you grew up with still gather. Your school batch from Class 10. Your engineering hostel friends. The office you joined fresh out of college. The neighbours from the building you grew up in. The family WhatsApp group that's become unmanageable. These are the people who actually know you — and on every other app, they're lost in noise. Aangan is a private courtyard for each of your real-life batches. Closed circles, real identities, no algorithm, no ads. Just the people who actually matter, gathering in one place. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Find your batch — search by school, college, company, society or town. If your batch exists, join it. If it doesn't, you create it and become the admin. - Time Capsule — save old photos and memories that stay forever. The reunion album that lives in your pocket. - Private wall — posts, photos, comments visible only to your batch. No outsiders, no public feed, no trending tab. - Word of Mouth — share genuine local recommendations within your trusted circle. The barber, the tailor, the pediatrician — finally in the right place. - 1-on-1 chat — message any batchmate, get push notifications. No friend requests, no follow buttons. - Group calendar — birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, all in one place. Nobody forgets again. - Admin moderation — every batch is self-governed by its members. Reports go to your batch admins, not a faceless company. WHY AANGAN IS DIFFERENT - Real identity required. Real names, real photos, real people. No anonymous accounts, no bots. - Strictly 18+. We follow strong child-safety policies and moderate aggressively. - Private by default. Your profile is visible only to verified members of the same batch. No public profiles, no search engine indexing. - No ads. No data sale. No algorithm deciding what you see. - Made in India, hosted in India, governed by India's DPDPA 2023. Your data stays in your country. - Strong moderation. In-app reporting, blocking, and removal — all functional, all reviewed. ABOUT AANGAN Aangan is from AapSaathi, a platform built for genuine connection over noise. We believe the internet should make it easier to reach the people who already know you — not harder. The word "aangan" means courtyard — the open central space in a home where family gathers. That's the feeling we're building. Find. Reconnect. Belong. aangan.aapsaathi.com
