Full description
16 levels of reading difficulty, illustrations come alive with a single tap! Engage your emerging reader with this first-of-its-kind library of leveled stories with illustrations that come alive with a tap on the screen! Dozens of stories. Hundreds of animations. Sixteen levels of graduated reading difficulty. The Motion Reader Library stories increase in difficulty from levels 1 to 16, by using various tried-and-true methods; word count, vocabulary, font size, font family, spacing placement, subject matter, and more. But the Motion Reader Library takes things one step further. Every illustration - on every page - in every story springs to life with a tap on the screen! These moving images, sound effects, narration, and music combine to fully engage the young, aspiring reader and make these original stories even more impactful. The illustration on each page is useful as a context clue to the text, and when the illustration comes alive, it provides an entertaining payoff giving the child confirmation or correction to their work. The stories are short, manageable reads about topics young readers know and care about. The button on each page that initiates the animation also makes the child feel like he’s part of the story! The Motion Reader is also a great resource for any ELL (English Language Learners) program. Multilingual Learners (MLL) can benefit from the visual and audio feedback on every page. Each animated illustration transcends language barriers and connects emotionally with the child. Language learners benefit by reading text, hearing the words, associating text with images and video, repetition, and immediate feedback. The Motion Reader Library offers all of that. The 16 levels are available in 3 modes: Free Play (for independent learning), Teacher Assist (for one-on-one tutelage), and Read Only (for measuring speed and comprehension). These are not phonics lessons disguised as stories, like most learn-to-read apps. They are real stories with hand-made illustrations/animations about topics your child will care about. He will hardly even realize he is learning to read! Main Features: - Every page of every book on every level comes alive with a tap on the screen. - The animations average roughly 4 to 5 seconds in length. The intent is to engage the young reader, without losing track of the task at hand…reading! - Each story uses a different artistic style to keep the visuals fresh from book to book. - Illustrations were created to give the student visual clues about the text. - The book list has large, colorful icons so the child can read either with a one-on-one facilitator or by himself. - Each book is complete with a synopsis, a target lesson and list of sight words for the parent/teacher to help choose the desired book. - There are three modes to choose from to help the teacher control the process, or for the child to read and learn independently. - Subject matter is all age-appropriate, and touches on other pertinent topics such as friendship, telling time, sharing, geography, rhyming, being organized, and more. - Experts assisting in the creation of the Motion Reader Library include: - Primary school teachers - A reading specialist - Reading tutors - A primary school language specialist - A retired principal - and even a pediatric neurologist. - A timer is used for each book, to help gauge the student’s progress. - Great for teachers and reading tutors. But moms and dads love it, too! - Stories can be downloaded and enjoyed, even where no internet is provided. - Works on the iPhone, but because of the larger screen size, iPad is recommended. - For more information, visit our website at MotionReaderLibrary.com - No third party ads - Kid-safe - Ages 3-8 years
